Donald Forrest is a
graduate of the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. He is a member of
the Indiana and Kentucky bars, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern
District of Indiana and the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the
6th and 7th Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal. He is a member of numerous legal
associations, including the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA
now the American Association for Justice). He was awarded the “Trial Lawyer of the Year” by ITLA
in 2003.
James Bourne is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington. He is admitted to practice in Indiana, The United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, The United States Court of Appeal of the Seventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He has been practicing law since 1965.
He is a Past-President of the Indiana State Bar Association (2002-03), a Past-President of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum (2001-02), a Past President of the Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington Alumni Association (1986-87) and the Floyd County Bar Association. He was Chairperson of the Indiana State Bar Association's House of Delegates from 1997-1998.
He was presented with the Rabb Emison Award by the Indiana State Bar Association in 2003 for Promoting Diversity in the Legal Profession.
Since 1993 he has served on the Indian Supreme Court Character and Fitness Committee, and he Chaired the Indiana Supreme Court's Commission on Continuing Legal Education from 1991-1992.
He also is a fellow of the American College of American
College of Trial Lawyers and a Diplomat of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. He is a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
He has both lectured and written regarding many aspects of personal injury and wrongful death litigation.
In addition to his professional activities he as served as President of the Mary Anderson Center for the Arts (2002-2005), Chairman of the Saint Mary Catholic Church Parish Counsel and Chairman of the Floyd County United Way Campaign.
